| brentwelsh 2008-04-09 17:52:57 The area is called Port Oneida, it was a farming community that was largely abandoned by the 1920's due to the poor condition of the soil. It is now part of Sleep Bear Dunes State Park. There are a few buildings still privately owned and occupied, but most are maintained (stabilized) by the National Park Service. It is all a National Register Historic District. The video starts at Pyramid Point, my favorite spot in Michigan. This is the only preserved rural landscape in the US. __________________________________________________ | |
| roblaue 2008-02-17 23:43:20 Thanks a lot; I think so also and it's nice that you would notice that. It's funny because often I edit things together and the timing just works itself out without a lot of pre-planning. Once I notice that something is working I may have to adjust a few seconds here or there to fine tune the timing, but in this case it just all fit together perfectly mostly out of luck! __________________________________________________ | |
| NightAire 2008-02-14 23:23:29 I like the way you put together your videos; the building ominous music suddenly comes to a crashing halt... and a car drives by.... we hear you say, "what is is this place called?" Very haunting! Nice work. __________________________________________________ | |
| roblaue 2007-04-22 20:53:59 I'm not exactly sure where it is other than it's within a half hour's drive of Glen Arbor. We were heading to the Sugar Loaf resort area if you know where that is. __________________________________________________ | |
