Description: Hi, I'm training my legs for handling a parachute landing, so (ultimately) I hope to be jumping down 15 foot heights, without the need for a parkour roll (since I hear landing with a parachute is like jumping off a 15 foot wall). So, basically, I am aiming for better control of landings for parkour, so that I will only need to roll if I have significant forward motion, or if I jump from much higher. Right now I still jump heights of less than 5 feet, and end up touching the floor with my hands. Any greater heights, and I need to roll. In this video I tried to spring back onto my feet as soon as I landed. Any suggestions, or advice, would be appreciated, as I train for a parachute jump about 5 months from now (in August, 2007). The video itself, I made for self-assessment, but I figured anyone good at this might be able to offer some tips. Thanks. ~Faissal |
