I'm still all for changes in adaptations - as a fan of this stuff I understand it can be crappy when this or that thing that makes you really love a character isn't quite the same in an adaptation - but really, they shouldn't have to be the same as long as the right vibe is there. | pauldelacroix ::: Favorites I don't think it would be boring; they should show some loyalty to the comic book character as well. Personally, one of my gripes with the Nicholson Joker was that I felt he was being rewritten too much (as a mafiosi, named "Jack Napier", killer of Wayne's parents, etc.); now the Dark Knight version seems to be taking off in an even more extreme direction. | kinglaffo ::: Favorites I've read that Nolan gave Ledger The Killing Joke to read to prepare for the role - so I wouldn't say he's being TOTALLY reshaped. It is however, an adaptation, an alternate version of Batman, and shouldn't be tied to any specific rules.
