| arkgunslinger ::: Favorites Thursday, January 23, 2003 ALBANY, New York (CNN) -- Scott Ritter, a former U.S. Marine and U.N. weapons inspector who has been an outspoken critic of a possible war with Iraq, was arrested in 2001 and charged with a misdemeanor after allegedly communicating with an undercover officer posing as a 16-year-old girl, a source close to the investigation has told CNN. Ritter confirmed the arrest in an interview with CNN Wednesday but declined to confirm any detail about the nature of the case. 07-09-28 19:38:33 __________________________________________________ | |
| spookytom ::: Favorites arkgunslinger If the allegation IS true- which we should find out when it goes to trial- then he is creepy, and should be sent to prison. I read that "court records have been sealed", and the case against Ritter was "adjourned in contemplation of dismissal." However that turns out, it has nothing to do with the war in Iraq, which is what this video is about. 07-09-28 21:01:36 __________________________________________________ | |
| arkgunslinger ::: Favorites spookytom, It does concern this video! Scott Ritter is the main player in this video and these charges bring into question his morality and his integrity. For the record I don't see any valid reason at this time to attack Iran. 07-09-28 21:56:45 __________________________________________________ | |
| spookytom ::: Favorites arkgunslinger No, immorality about mass murder of civilians is different than the immorality of wanting to sleep with a 16-year old girl. Both are wrong but one is MUCH worse than the other. What is VERY interesting about this case is that at the time of the alleged incident Ritter was working for FOX NEWS as a military consultant. Yet the incident got zero press until years later, AFTER he openly OPPOSED the attack on Iraq. 07-09-29 00:05:51 __________________________________________________ | |
| arkgunslinger ::: Favorites spookytom, When you have friends in high places these things have a way of getting swept under the carpert. When you don't have those friends anymore the rug gets lifted up. You know it happens all the time with both political parties. Bush has not mentioned, to my knowledge, intent to invade or attack Iran. This rank is Scott speculating what Bush is thinking, not facts. 07-09-29 18:54:39 __________________________________________________ | |
| ResearchX ::: Favorites It won't matter what the people think. G.W.Bush does not listen to anyone. He is a dictator and HE WILL BOMB IRAN. 07-09-28 18:09:28 __________________________________________________ | |
| spookytom ::: Favorites ResearchX Sadly, you are absolutely correct; the man is insane. What is even sadder is that congress (Republicans AND Democrats), the military and a high percentage of American civilians are going along with it. Blind to the future, full of fear and hate. 07-09-28 18:23:47 __________________________________________________ | |
| ResearchX ::: Favorites I agree. I think we face a very grim future. God help the young people and children of America. 07-09-28 18:48:23 __________________________________________________ | |
