Response part 1 Thank you very much! I did not find that one yet... Have you ever tried the program "clickrepair"? (just type that in google and you will find it) It's from an Austrlian professor, and you can use is free for 21 days. I think you'll be surprised how the crackle will dissapear.

Response part 2 Also I can hear you recorded it without compensating for the riaa-curve (look it up in wikipedia). The "basic" sound quality and lack of distortion is very good! Unbelevable you found it between rubbish in a waste dump! Thanks for posting it, Rolf

Thanks for this rarity! Brothers Adoph & Fritz made quite the splash in the '30,and '40's. Adolph had quite the ego--he used to sit in a platform above the othjer 3 players when he played string quartets! A beautifully spaced and insightful Chaconne.

Actually there were 3 brothers originally a piano trio, performing in Stuttgart, and Adolf was more famous as the greatest teacher of the purist movement, Auer being that for Eastern Europe. And he was very humble, when he toured with his most famous young protege, Menuhin, Busch kept his prices low for greater audiance participation, Menuhin charged many times more as a child performer. My grandfather was Busch's pupil.

I collect all kinds of records, but not classical. You might be horrified to hear that a collector wanted to give me several hundred classical 78s for free but I turned them down. Salvation Army came to pick them up. I wouldn't know which ones are rare. At first, like all beginners, I once thought the 1-sided Carusoes were worth something, heh...
